Karma Pearl
« on: March 15, 2011, 12:19:09 AM »
The owner of the bowling center I work at brought in a new Karma Pearl! I drilled it for him before our senior league and I went with a label drilling no weight hole! He's 72 y/o and didn't want anything fancy and went with a basic layout! I decided to roll the ball some during our 15 minutes of practice and his span is a little short for me but I could still roll it. We bowl on the Kegel Main Street pattern for our house shot, which is 41' length. I moved right and played straight up 7 board. The ball was real clean and smooth downlane and made a strong arc to the pocket. The hit and carry was better than I expected and I think the solid would be a better choice for me and this pattern! The ball has great shelf appeal and should be a big hit for people looking for a ball for lighter or shorter patterns! Nice addition for Brunswick at a great price! Just my $.02, Bruce

Does this slot in between the Slingshot and Damage?

Yes it fits in the Slingshot Pearl/Avalanche Pearl/Karma Pearl/Damage Pearl sequence:) It is really darn close to the Damage, which is interesting from a Brunswick marketing point of view.

Neither the Damage nor the Slingshot have companion solid coverstock pieces available with the same cores. If you are a league bowler you might never need to go out of those four ranges to find an arsenal.

It's real close to the Damage, but a little different shape at the breakpoint! I think the Damage is a touch stronger and a little more flip! If you had them drilled the same, you wouldn't be able to see much difference. You would want them drilled different to give you two different looks!!
