I think I have decided to get this ball to go under my Zone Classic. Does anyone have anything to say about the Power Groove Reactive? I'm getting the new Blue/Ivory one.

I love my Power Groove.  Best ball out there for the money and the new Blue/Ivory one really looks sweet.  I thought about buying another one just for the color alone.  I think if I drilled another one, I would get a longer pin out and put the pin further from my PAP.  You can see my layout in my profile.

You use pretty strong balls. The PG pearl will surely be a good fit under the ZC (I suppose it is a regulyr green pin?). You might also consider a Rampage for the job, but I think it handles situations quite similar to the ZC, just with an earlier read and a less sharp breakpoint.

But you cannot go wrong with a PG - as mogators stated: one of the best balls for the money out there, and stronger than many might think. And the Ivory/Blue is truly pretty.

A PG in any bag! Can save the day during late games

Dizzy, you mention it is stronger than people think. I don't need to use it on fried, just when the ZC is too strong. For fried lanes, I use my plastic ball.

I posted my exclamation of the power groove a couple of weeks ago ,best ball for the buck, and i still say its just that Dont no much about the one you are getting ,but if its any thing like my teal purple it will be tough to put down. Mine is drilled pin under ring .Its polished, and nothing hots harder or carries any better ,on shots where i can use it. Its not a dry lane ball even polished this thing has awesome back end and hit. If i had none then what i know now i might have an all power groove arsenal.

Mine is drilled 2L.  About 17 mph med. revs.  This ball is for med to med heavy oil.  It is just to agressive cover for anything less than med oil.  I have tried to throw it on light oil several times,  I can cover alot of boards but get no consistancy.  It works up to all but the soup lanes.  Best buy out there today.  When I get to the lanes this is the first ball I get out to read the lanes.  I soak it in hot water about every 30 games to relieve the oil and it has not lost any thing for reaction.  It now has about 350 games on it.....Doug

Also, layout 2L is for medium oil. I'm using 4L.

For ME is does not work on light oil.  At least with my speed and drill.  I would like to drill up a 4L Just to see what would happen.  My thoughts are that even with a week drill the cover would still be to aggresive for me.  My biggest problem is my 17 mph.  I guess there is only one way to know.  I still believe this is the best buy going right now.....Doug

I threw one today and it knocked my socks off. It was pin over bridge and CG kicked out. My PAP is 5 over 1/8 up. It moved as well as my storm pyro on the same condition and it has the same drilling. It had a better and more readable mid lane as the Pyro and a just as good of a backend. This ball is alot stronger than most people think! Hit and carried very well also.

That was my experience with it. It does "stand left go right" very well! A very underated ball for Medium oil IMO.

another good thing about this ball that i have noticed is that in oil if you can play straight up the boards the ball will go straight as an arrow and as soon as there is a break in the pattern vroom left turn clyde, my only problem with that shot is I am not comfortable shooting it,but if you can play straight up its good for that too.

I have a problem about the PG, my driller said the PG without a core
so the pin action is less than the Punshier. He do not
recommend the PG except for the beginner, But I heard many good comment
about the PG in BR for the drier lane.  
Now, I have two idea:
1. a PG drill it a litte bit strong
2. a Punshier drill it a little bit weak
I'm a stroker style and med rev and speed.
Pls give me some advice.
