What are the differences between the different rhinos? For example i have a purple rhino pro and was wondering how the gold and the LE ones compare to it?

the difference in in the type of reactive coverstock used and the type of core used in a particular ball. go to www.bowlingballreviews.com for more info.

I know Greg means well, but be careful going to that site he posted. They got hacked recently by someone who left lots of virus' and trojans on the site.

Be sure your internet security is on and working well before you attempt to go there.

If you do go, there is/was lots of great info there.

thanks for the heads-up. i just went there and it's all messed up. forget that site. the gold rhino pro had a "tamer" reactive coverstock and a large high rg core. the rhino pro le had a stronger coverstock and a core that was later used in the lt-48 gold. the purple rhino pro had a strong coverstock a typical lightbulb shaped core. in todays bowling world the gold would be for dry lanes and the others for medium lanes.

So I really wouldn't notice that much of a difference between the LE and the purple?

On today's oils and volumes, most likely not.  The Rhinos were designed to handle the conditions of the mid-1990's, which featured lower volumes and less viscous conditioners.

The pin on my purple rhino is below the middle finger. Is this drilled for a lefty?

Not necessarily, could be for a low tracker, or for someone who wanted a low-flaring layout.

With it, I play over on the right side and it still seems to make a nice move to the pocket so I guess it really doesn't matter
