Power Groove Dry/R question
« on: May 04, 2005, 04:03:10 AM »
I got this ball on Saturday, 04/30.  Finally threw it in practice on Monday, 05/02.  Immediately noticed that when it got to about 35 feet it started making a faint thumping sound which got worse as it approached the pins.  When I looked at the flare rings, it appears that it is flaring toward the thumbhole.  The drill pattern is pretty basic: pin 1/2" over fingers on vertical grip centerline with CG 1/2" right of vertical grip centerline.  Ball specs are: 2-3" PIN with 2-3oz.  How can this be happening and what can be done about it?

Although I'm not sure about the specifics, did your driller weigh out the ball to verify the markings?

Sometimes CGs etc, are mismarked.
