any throw this yet? how would it compare to say a bruiser in over reaction down lane?

I haven't thrown it yet; need to put holes in it first. However, it's supposed to be straighter than the SlayR, which in turn is *significantly* straighter than the Bruiser.

I ordered one!

I like what I hear. I have two balls that I can cover a lot of conditions with but me and dry heads with burnt midlanes don't match up. This sounds like what I need.

sounds a lot like my super Dynamic Groove!

Weaker cover than the powers! Clean in the heads than Blam!
Had a 299 with one once and this year have started 3 games with 8 and one with 8 where I bowled one frame on wrong lane and had to go again!

I love it!

so there is no need to put a weak drill....which drill should be fine to make the ball "playable" in a light oil condition or when the heads are already dry?

Well, I got the chance to throw it last night in a second-shift league. On the recommendation of someone at Brunswick (a shout out to BrunsRicH

), I drilled it with the pin at leverage, on a line between the ring finger and my PAP. I threw it side-by-side with the green pearl Attack Zone that I use for spares, and the Dry/R is about four boards stronger overall, and most of that is at the break, with the Dry/R making a much sharper move off of the dry.

As for Ric's comment earlier in this thread:

Spot on. If I tried to keep the Dry/R in the oil, it was 60 feet of skid. If I started the ball closer to the dry, it read the dry but didn't bounce.

I'm looking forward to throwing this ball more in the Summer, when the weather is warmer and the lanes are drier. I have the feeling that the Dry/R will just eat up those broken-down patterns with torched tracks.

Would a Dry/r with an 0-1" pin (pin drilled under the palm) keep it from "jumping" or "bouncing" off of the dry backends? Every "dry lane ball" I have had (Slate Blue Gargoyle, Sonic X Solid, Buzzsaw XL) I can never use on dry lanes because they still cover too many boards...

I would think that, if you're looking to temper the reaction off of the dry, you might want to consider using a pin position closer to your PAP, like maybe 2" or so (similar to the 3E layout on the Brunswick drill sheet). The cover on the Dry/R is so clean that it'll skid through just about anything, so I don't think you'd be sacrificing much in the way of control in the heads by doing this. Just a thought...
