Title: Power Groove Reactive Vs. Dry/r
Post by: sportbowler on October 25, 2005, 08:37:07 AM
How much of a difference is there between these two balls, breakpoint and boards covered? I was thinking about getting a Dry/r and I was wondering if it is ok to use the layout I have on the PG Reactive.(Click Here (http://"http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b143/bowler300/Picture039.jpg")) Since I dont like the reaction that much that I get out of the PG R should I try a different layout, since it might be similar?

Do any of you have both drilled the same? What are the differences?

Thanks,

Daniel

Not sure how you have your regular Power Groove layed out, but on the Dry/R you should keep the pin outside of the finger area, especially if you track high by the thumb/fingers. The combination of this core and coverstock has a tendency to want to track up on the thumb if you place the pin on your grip line or in line with your ring finger, either over or above it. I have my pin at about 1:30, just up and right of my ring finger, and it still does exactly what I wanted it to.

With that being said, like the Bartender said, you should see quite a few boards difference between the two, especially at the breakpoint.

Looks like it's back to the left side again for me.
