Have you scuffed the cover on your Nexus solid yet? In most cases that will allow it to read earlier but still finish pretty strong.

Try 500 if it isn't picking up early enough. What have you got to lose? You can always take it back to whatever grit if it's not what you need. Hopefully the new Double X will start showing up and we can give you a comparison, but until then the videos on Brunswick's site are very well done.
