I was just given on of these today and I was wondering some thoughts on the ball, like the drilling and how the ball performed. I was thinkin bout making this for THS, stacked in some form, hit it with a green scotch brite and putting some polish, any help would be appreciated
Thanx

FWIW, I tend to agree with twoheadedboy in every comment, except the polishing. These original balls were kind of hard to polish and they never seemed to take well to it. You might try some Trizact pads (first the orange one, then the white one), that is, if you can find a pro shop that still has them. They always worked on the original Brunswick particles.

I had this ball work in three different setups on the left!
Always needs a lot of head oil! And it was smooth.
3 inch pin out ball drilled first 3 3/4 X 5. So So.
5 X 5 and sanded to 320 absolutely tore up a very heavy oil shot no one else on the left could even wrinkle and had quite a bit of backend!
Finally when I got other heavy oil balls drilled 1 3/4 X 5 and loved it till someone stole it(someone liked it)! Revvy and even!

I loved this ball. I shot my first two 700s with it. In defiance of the Trizact mumbo-jumbo, I used a green Scotch-Brite pad on it. It neither scuffs nor polishes easily. In those days I threw more of a spinner at pretty good speed, so the Azure Pro Zone's aggressiveness gave me the kind of good roll I was not getting from other stuff. I'm sure I wouldn't keep the surface that rough nowadays. Sorry, I don't remember the drilling. If this discussion is still going on and my drilling seems relevant to it, I'll dig it out when I get home and take a look at it. I THINK it was something close to label-leverage.

something straight up just to make the ball push a little farther down. Plus I was wondering with my style, I was wondering if that would help at all, I can put a good bit of revs on the ball, I can throw anywhere from 12 mph to 20 and be consistant, and I can release the ball any way up the back, or up the side, any more feed back would be greatly appreciated because I am suppose to get it drilled up on friday
Thanx
