My new arsenal plans...
« on: November 27, 2005, 11:07:57 AM »
Im a right handed Cranker. Best guess on rev rate would be around 450-500. No idea on axis-tilt. Ball speed is at around 17-19mph.

For medium-light; Zone Classic - Red Pin, Pin over bridge and CG kicked to the right about half inch from center.

For medium-heavy; BVP Rampage, Pin up about half inch and to the right about 1.5" and CG kicked to the right by about half ince right from center.

For Heavy; Vapor Zone. Not sure what drilling pattern but its gonna be drilled for early hooking.

Just looking for other thoughts on my line up. This seems to fit my style according to the fact sheets and some research. CZ-RP since the red pin is a harder surface then the CZ-GP, I already have to Rampage and the VZ is already paid for, just waiting for a 3-4" pin to arrive at my local pro-shop. Open to any critisizm.

If you bowl a lot of tournaments you are gonna need something not so flippy.  The Vapor isnt really flippy but very backend strong.  I would do up a Strike Zone as well.  The ball surprisingly get down the lane well and will even out the backends for you.  If you add that ball I think you've got everything covered.

I was looking at getting a ball with 150+ hook potential to cover all ends of the hook rating plus the kinds of drilling each ball has will set them apart. Right now my Vapor Zone hooks more then my rampage by about 5-7 boards. Not enough really but I can and will give the surface a soft brillo pad touch. I was looking for a 7-8 board difference in overall hook between the Rampage and VZ. The Classic Zone Red Pin will work great for when the shot gets dry or when the outsides are drier then normal also. The Strike Zone will work out for the ABT tournaments I do on occasion.
