I did not at all mean to imply, nor was aware that it sounded like I was implying that the smokin' is not as good as the absolute. All I ment to say was that, as evidenced by the belief that the activator advance matches up better to a higher rg core, activator advance may not be as effective on the low rg asym core of the classic or strike zone.
It was said in the description of the ball that many different core/activator advance combos were tried before settling on the more mid range rg core as opposed to the ultra low rg core of the AI, UI,and OI. It would make sense that if the cover were ever found on an asym that the rg may be elevated to better suit the cover. This being said I certainly do not want to assume that the advance does not match up with the ultra low rg. It may just be, as was said, matching a known cover to a core to produce a certain ball reaction.
sorry for the mix up.
