Title: Punisher Mini-review
Post by: TheDude on October 13, 2004, 05:34:24 PM
Well the test balls came in today, and we got one of them drilled up. Impressive backend. very clean through the heads, and really rolly. break point was sharp and distinct.

the coverstock was N'Control Enhanced, and the brunswick charts states this has a 95 based on 100 for backend sharpness.

I forget the other ratings, but i will grab the sheet tomorrow and write the rest of it up.

looks really nice on mediums and when stuff breaks down.

it handles carrydown nicely too.

oh, and the color was awesome! really nice silver and blue complete pearl.

looks very close to the Cannon ( the zone series:http://www.bowlingballreviews.com/ball.asp?ballid=599) color wise preformance it is really a sharper version of the Frenzy.

oh and the same core as the nemesis and goliath.

Do you have company ball specs for this?

I just hope brunswick doesn't become another ball of the week company....  I mean, didn't we just get a few not too long ago?

EDIT:  N control?  Haven't seen that in a little while.  I'd like to see a particle pearl to replace the raging though.

Brunswick learned it's lesson about over populating when the Zone line went overboard back when. We are far from "ball of the week" now.  Here are the performance balls we've released this year...and this includes the 3 new Power Grooves

Ultimate Inferno
3 new Power Groove colors
Zone Classic
Intense Inferno
BVP Nemisis
BVP Goliath

I believe a few companies came out with double that many if not more. On top of that, we introduce ours in a time frame that is popular with pro shops when balls are moving better. I apologize if I seem defensive here but we have worked extremely hard to create this system of releases that works for everyone. We have had nothing but praise for our new business practices in the past 2 years, and we are still striving to do even better.

Thanks,

Brunswick is indeed still doing very well, with this sound strategy.

on and i was mistaken the coverstock is called: N' Control Power Boost.

OH believe me, I dont' think B is a ball of the week company, I just thought they released a lot in a little time.  But now, I just realized that they had almost nothing the whole year, their newest stuff was in the summer.

IF I wasn't so poor, adn didn't need 2 balls before it, I would get a punisher.  Sounds like an intriguing ball.
