What's a better choice for heavy oil Strike Zone or Ultimate Inferno?

According to stats, the Strike Zone is the way to go. It's starts up as early as the Ultimate and has a stronger backend motion. Also it's much cheaper and more versatile with drillings.

Personally I like the color scheme of the Ultimate better...lol even if it shouldn't matter

It also depends on your game. If you need a ball with a stronger roll and even backends I would go with the Ultimate. I believe the Strike Zone is a better choice for most of todays conditions because of its ability to turn the corner stronger, especially with the way the oil carrys down so fast these days.

I agree with BrunBob. If you want it for fresh go Ultimate. If you want one a little more versatile go Strike Zone. Just make sure you go Brunswick!!

I just had a bad night with my new smoking due to carrydown too.  Exact same thing striking everytime in practice and then I proceeded to bowl 480 (179, 175, 129). This was by far my worst series of the year. Sad thing is I carried everytime I hit the pocket except one pocket 7-10 and I only missed 2 makeable spares albeit they were a 5 count (threw the ball through the break point) and a gutter (lanes broke for 20 mins and ball slipped).  If I missed at all right or got alittle firm I would go 2-10.  I tried moving alittle right and tightening up my line but it would go high. My smokin is 1000 grit abralon maybe Ill polish it up and it would allow me to stay alittle more right in the dry.

Sorry about straying offtopic. I agree that the Strike Zone may be alittle better for heavy oil but both are great balls. I am actually thinking about getting a Strike Zone myself.
