Total or Scorchin'?
« on: December 12, 2006, 08:47:46 PM »
Just a matter of opinion for those who have thrown them both, which do you like better? Any strengths or weaknesses you've noticed about either so far? Carrydown, length, backend, hit carry...just overall, what do you like?

trying to build an arsenal off of my zone classic, and one of these two will be next, but i think both would work, just curious about what you guys think of them.

thanks,
matt

I currently carry both in my bag.  I very rarely run into enough oil to throw the Scorchin.  Just have it for some tourneys and the "kids off from school all day" condition.  I would reccomend the Total before the Scorchin unless you are dealing with a real heavy oil pattern.

To be 100% honest with you, My Scorchin sees the lanes when carrydown is bad, or I have a VERY fresh house shot. My Total hits the lanes on mostly everything else except the dry. My scorchin is drllied up for a smooth long arc to the pocket, while my Total is drilled up for a hard arcing back end. They both in my opinion carry very well though. Only weakness I see in the scorchin is that in no way, shape, or form can it handle the dry.
