C System initial thoughts...
« on: September 29, 2009, 10:32:13 PM »
Well I just drilled my C System on Monday. Threw it last night in league and must say this WOW!!!! Totally different than any other ball. I am a high rev player and drilled it 55x5 1/2x 35. This ball clears the front like no other and just corners from anywhere. Compared to my Wild Thing drilled 65x5x30 it is about 2 and 1 less than the WT but I do see more down lane motion. This will be a first out of the bag. I don't like to post scores but have to with this one. Did happen to shoot 300 243 268 for 811 last night. Once I get a few more games in and a couple different comparisons I will post an offical review of this ball.

Nice job, Adam!

This ball has amazed me from day one. Unique through the pin deck. Crazy good carry!

So its less overall then a Wild Thing, but more on the back end, or am i reading this wrong?

Hmm..Lets see what I have in this bag...some virtual gravity, some hot sauce, a liberator, and a saw.. how can I loose....

....HG-300(2006 w/Desert Heat)...299 (03/15/09 w/Agent Orange)...HS-776 (Hot Sauce Pearl & Ebonite Magic)

I can imagine that is true.

Yes, for me it is a bit less than the Wild Thing but turns the corner harder. Meaning it is more angular. Now it is also drilled a little weaker then my Wild Thing as well.

With the same layout and surfaces, the C-System should be more than the Wild Thing. This is more apparent when both balls are thrown in oil. I personally think the Wild Thing is our quickest response ball when it sees friction, but overall the C-System will be more ball, and usable on more patterns from more angles.

I think the Wild Thing is a conditional ball for most bowlers, at it's best if and when used on the right condition. The C-System will be a ball that can be used on multiple patterns from different parts of the lane. I also feel like it is one of those balls that fits all types of bowlers, whereas I find the Wild Thing to look good in certain types of bowlers hands, or for others only when it matches perfect to the condition. I say this from experience, as the Wild Thing is not one of my favorites but it is the only reason I made the cut at the World Championships. That proves the point that nearly every ball has it's place, some just have more usable places.

So, with that being said, the Wild Thing is a good ball to have as part of an arsenal that includes over 6 or more balls, and the C-System will serve a better purpose for all bowlers, especially those that only carry 2 or 3 balls to bowling and need something that will let them find a good ball reaction with limited choices.

Thanks for mentioning what you did Rob. I did forget to mention that my Wild Thing is at 2000 and not box surface. This is also one of the reasons my C System has more down lane. Please check out my review on the C System as i will tell you how some comparisons looked.

Mine cracked after 2 games.  However, I did win free drinks on the first night of league with it by outstriking the rest of the league including one opposite handed attempt.  Now I have to wait for my new one.
