Question on an drilling an OLD BALL
« on: February 21, 2005, 08:08:49 AM »
Last Dec. I bought a Bruns. Green Monster reactive on ebay to replace the one I have had now for about four years.  Anyways, I never drilled and now I am thinking of drilling it for nationals to roll early.  Can this be done with a ball with about 3.5 topwt and 1inch pin?  The suggestion that I got, from a local pro here in AZ, was to stack the pin and Cg centered on my center line and about 3 inches over. This may or may not require an extra hole - if a hole is required he suggested to put it 1 inch down and 1 inch past my axis point? Does this sound right?

Any suggestions?

Well, do you know your PAP? In general, pin below finger drillings start to roll a bit earlier. Shorter pin to PAP distances usually mean earlier roll, and to help it even more you can throw a weighthole ON your PAP.
