Hi all. Looking at buying a Monster Slayr online for extremely dry conditions. I'm a stroker, med revs, 14-16 mph and tend to have a very high track(just about clips the finger and thomb holes). I like to stand on 15 and throw over 10. Questions are,
1. What drill pattern should I use, I was leaning towards 4L.
2. What pin position and top weight should I request, I thought 3"-5 1/2" pin and 1-2 oz top weight if I use 4L.
Just looking for a ball I can keep to the right of the head pin when it really dries out in the late league I bowl in. I thought my new blazing inferno (hard) would be it, but it reacts exactly like my vicious attack but with a stronger back end. So i will probably retire the vicious and use the blazing for now.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Dunno about extreme dry but if there's some oil left on the heads and midlane, use it.
I have mine drilled pin over ring finger, CG aligned below (about 1" from center of grip) and polished. I use it for broken down lanes but it's not meant for stripped or Sahara Desert conditions...

I'd suggest 3-4" pin and 2 - 3.5" top weight.
But 4L is safe if you have a good amount of "hand" or if the oil is really short and light. The Slay/R is good for light to medium-light oil, but since it is resin, you still MUST have aminimum amount of head oil.
Being such a mild ball, 2L or 3L is probably also OK.
I have used one; having a lower track I used 2E, and it was fine for light to medium-light oil.

Bowling: Just like hand grenades and horse shoes, you only have to get close.
Life: Deal with what is.

Thanks for the suggestions. So the Slayr will be a good choice for when the lanes breakdown and the blazing moves too much?

Uhhhh maybe, maybe not? If you already have a blazing, consider a power groove dry/r or even a urethane groove. I think they would be a better fit for what you are looking for.

TOOOOOOOOOOOOO far left...
Thats the problem. After moving so far left, I lose a good entry angle and can't carry. I need something to enable me to move back right and get it down the lane. But I want something with decent backend movement, thats why I thought the Slayr would be a good choice.
agroves - thanks, I'll take a look at the power groove dry/r and the urethane groove.
