Polishing Activator+ will result in a very nervous ball, esp.on wet/dry conditions. That's why since the II no such ball ever left the production site in high gloss. Love or hate - just as the RadI is OOB.

The RadI, on the other side, needs to be drilled quite strong when used OOB. In oil, the coverstock does not grip well and that's why some players do not like the ball's reaction. Sanding might help, though, as well as a flare-increasing x-hole under the PAP.

Mine is down around 1000 grit.  Its way better than box finish which is extremely squirty.  The ball still does funny things from time to time.  I am probably going to take mine down to around 600 and see what happens.

I hit mine with 220 sandpaper, 400 sandpaper, new burgundy Scotch Brite pad, then hit it with Rough Buff polish.  It is now terrific. It reads oil a little better and still has the strong move downlane.....and hits like a truck.

Now I have my Total with 500 abralon and I'm ready for the even heavier oil that the Radical could not read well enough. Good combination.
