For me the ball is for Medium Oil and it roll almost the same with my other retired Blazing Inferno. If your a high rev bowler you gonna love it.

have mine drilled with pin above bridge and cg kicked right 45 degress. really clean through the front part even with dried out heads, good length and good recovery. if i was to dull it down alittle maybe it would be the first ball out of the bag but as of now it goes too long. probley would be good for wood lanes. it has wild carry. the probley i have had is it can leave a couple of 8 pins on really good shots. probley just my fault somehow.

I have had one and am going to drill another for some of the drier conditions our second shift traveling league encounters. You can take the Radical covers down quite a bit and then bring them back up. I have enclosed some good reading from Rick Benoit's Brunswick Insiders website. I didn't go as extreme as he did, but taking the cover down and then slowly bringing it back up made significant changes in the ball reaction on this one.

I love my Radical.

Mine is drilled with the Brunswick layout 3L for maximum angularity and medium-low hook potential, and i use it all the time, however it's best suited for medium-dry to medium-oily stuff, doesn't really work on floods.

It's a great compliment for my polished BVP Wizard, and i highly recommend it to anyone with some revs on the ball.

I didn't like it at first. I did get a weak drilling with the ring finger above the pin and the cg kicked to the right but this ball didn't hook even close to as much as advertised. I will say it rolls fantastic and can really scramble pins around on light hits. One thing I noticed with a lot of other people is the factory polish on the ball is overkill. I recently got a wet scotch brite pad then polished it back by hand it is a much stronger, more versitle ball now. I like using it on outside lines where there is friction but I found it not that great of a ball if I have to play in and tight.

I do not own one, but a friend of mine has one (and went through the typiocal RI trouble) and good sources to a Brunswick staffer and the German distributor.

Ball is IMHO good for medium to medium-light conditions, at OOB - far less than advertised.

The OOB surface also caused lots of trouble/customers - very squirty, especially on longer oil. Some resurfacing and finish changes would solve this problem easily, though, but not transform the RI into the oil ball that it was proclaimed to be.

From the pro shop I also heard words of confusion about the ball - they got it finally to work better for many players (at OOB again) through a stronger pin position one would naturally put on the piece, just to make the ball finish more effectively - or adding flare-increasing holes once the setup was done and customers faced problems.
