Made In the USA engraving
« on: July 23, 2006, 07:26:20 AM »
Where did it go.

All of the new Brunswick and Morich balls we have received no longer have the made in the USA engraving on the serial #.

From what I understand from the Big B folks at Bowl Expo the Radical is supposed to be the first ball released from the Mexican plant.

The box still says Made in the USA. If the ball is not made here that is a violation of Federal law.

Any of you inside B guys please advise.

The Made in USA engraving has been replaced by the mandatory USBC logo.  It's even on my rampage I bought a couple months ago (still in the old plant).  Some radicals were made with the new machinery while still in Michigan, so they were made here.  But obviously most of them won't be, so I figure brunswick will just write "made in mexico" on the box and leave it off the ball, as they have already done by putting on the USBC logo.

All of the Radicals at the Mini were made down south, so I was curious. Wasn't aware of any that came from Muskegon...

Interesting.  I remember reading somewhere that Brunswick tested out the new machinery in Muskegon before sending it down, so I would have assumed that they made some of the radicals there.

I was also told all the Radicals were made in Mexico. Talked to a few guys during the rollers. Nick would probably know. Or Nick get Hamlin in here to clarify this!?!?

Exactly.

If they did make a few test balls while the the machinery was in Muskegon, those wouldn't see light of day.

Thanks though mrbowlingnut!
