Title: Raging on heavy oil compared to:
Post by: Fatboy8 on November 30, 2005, 06:54:31 AM
I just wondered if the Raging Inferno is more aggressive on the heavier conditions than an Ultimate or Original is. I've only seen one guy at my house throw a Raging, and he plays pretty straight. Any help would be appreciated!

From what I have heard, the Raging would fit in between the Ultimate and Original. The Raging is a Particle Pearl making it more aggressive than the pearl that is the Original. The Ultimate is a solid which would also make it more aggressive than the light load particle Raging.

Out of curiosity, how would the UI and RI stack up given the same surface finish?  The RI came polished out of the box and it still had a 140 hook potential compared to the UI's 150.  It seems like it would handle at least as much as the UI if they were both 800-grit.

Keep in mind the Raging has a higher RG so it won't pick up a roll as soon.  It does need some dry in the backend to move.
