Hey y'all, i got a Rampage the other day, and it... well... i dunno. I got it drilled:
pin under ring finger,
4 inches to CG, at about 5 o'clock from pin.
I think it's 4 1/4 pin from PAP and 3 1/4 CG from PAP. (don't quote me on that, lol).
Anyway, it was just really jumpy. I don't know... what did y'all think of it?
I got it for oil, and he drilled it to roll earlier, and it dunno... he told me it would be a strong continuous arc, but it was pretty skid snap for me. Maybe it's that i'm not rolling it correctly, lol.
What did everyone think about this ball? I've heard great sutff about it, and it looks like a sweet ball. Just wanted some input on it from other people.
Thanks!

A little boy looked up at me once and said "So you must be The Striking King." Coolest thing I've been told!
I'm pretty positive I'll shoot 300... just not sure when.

Knock the polish off the ball. That will tame down the skid/snap and it will handle some oil with say....800 to 1000 grit sanded.
It certainly wouldn't have been my first choice for oil, even with an arcy drilling. Another thing, 4 x 3 isn't exactly an arcy drilling IMO. I would say like a 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 or 2 x 2 would be arcy.

Tx,
The Rampage would not be the best choice for an oily lanes ball.
While The Rampage is great for the mediums, The Nemesis or Goliath would be a better choice for oil.

I'm from MI. We don't have a pro football team!!!

while you could use the rampage on oily lanes( depending upon speed, surface, etc. ) it wouldn't be my first choice. if it's real jumpy take it to your pro shop and have them scuff off the polish and wetsand it to a finer grit---maybe as high as 2,000. this will make the ball more even rolling. if the rampage is to be your heavy oil ball you may need to sand it to a coarser grit.

thanks guys.
Anything else?

That's really odd... the guy that sold it to me owns a very credible shop, and told me it would be 'a strong continuous arc.'
like i said... WTF?!

When I first got the Rampage I told my teammates "Youll be able to tell when this isnt the right ball". Simple yet true. Mine rolls very clean on the correct conditions. I did also notice immediately that the ball really reads the dry---that includes overreading strong backends.
