I heard that there were some, too.

Having said that, the regular Sidewinder had the lowest particle load that Brunswick has ever used, so reaction-wise they'd be pretty close if everything else was identical (surface prep, layout, etc.).

Yes there were some non-particle sidewinders...we got one in our pro shop that sold a little while back...

there were alot of those
someone forgot to put the particles in xxx sidewinders
and they were sold cheap to pro shops

I have one and I love it. The reaction is very similar to my old AI, just a little weaker over all.

Looks legit.  Bet that is a pretty decent rolling ball.  Wonder how much that ball will go up to.  You know how some people on Ebay with stuff this is a little out of the ordinary.

On a side note:  There is guy in my mens league that uses a regular Sidewinder in OOB condition as his spare ball.  At first I was like what the hell????  But, it works ok for him because it burns up just past the arrows.  I hate bowling on the same pair as his team though.  Him and two other guys on his team throw particle balls....and there isn't much head oil to begin with, and they just tear is apart.

Yes, there is such a thing. There was a run of Sidewinders that did not have the particle additive included. So, what you end up with is a hybrid reactive version of the Sidewinder. I have one of each. The reactive gets great length and makes a crazy move on the back.

You can see the particles in a regular Sidewinder, more of a grainy appearance.

On a non-particle Sidewinder it looks like a shiny pearl.

Both are good balls but the non particle one is better on the dry.
