The Rattler got the activator cover but a higher Rg core. The Smash Zone got the Inferno Core with Enmotion cover.....My question is which of these 2 ball is more like the original Inferno?
-
I would think the Rattler is closer from the vids Big B posted.

The Rattler is supposed to be really angular, something the original Inferno was not. So i'd say the Smash Zone.

Joe, I don't know who you saw roll the OI, but it looked rather angular to me until it tamed.

The Smash Zone DOES NOT have the original Inferno core in it...

Good point

They were very strong downlane, but very controllable. Activator with the low RG inferno core was something special.

i drilled my smash the same as my oi, 6" pin up. I get very very similar reactions out of them. I really can't even tell the difference, which is good, cause i wanted my smash to replace my inferno.

Well, according to this brunswick page smash zone has the OI core.

The rg differential is slightly different.

From using both, I think the Smash Zone is going to give you a roll more like the Inferno. If you take the Rattler and dull the cover to 1000, you may get something similar. But, out of box, the Smash Zone is closer as far as midlane read and backend.

Thank you Steven. Would you say the core has more influence on the smash zone, than just the cover stock alone on the rattler?

Also, for the record, the Smash has a MODIFIED version of the Inferno core. Shape may be the same. But that is about it.
