read that it compliments the Powrkoil series stuff. first of all does it? and second of all would it fit in with a lineup of: Sapphire solid, Sapphire pearl, and Power Groove. listed as strongest reaction to weakest.

If it is the green pearl with the red logo I would say it would be stronger then your other Zones listed. May depend on your style but mine was drilled with a 5.5" pin to pap (above the bridge on my fingers) and rolled great. Clean through the heads and strong on the backends. It was stronger then I expected. Great ball and worth having NIB one of to try on todays conditions.

If I remember correctly, the Control Zone was the first ball to introduce the N'Control coverstock family - it is weaker than the Powerkoil family (definitively weaker than PK18, only little than PK17) and it had been designed for lighter conditions - the stuff is cleaner through the heads than PK, needs less oil, but is more responsive to dry areas - with polish, N'Control can be quite itchy and allergic to oil, but it is a consequential step under a PK18 ball and IMHO an alternative to a Power Groove with PK17 and a high RG, and be tendency longer and snappier than a Sapphire Zone.
