Rattler vs Smash Zone on old wood lanes

If you had a choice between these two, which would you rather use on wooden lanes that are old, with a medium to medium-dry shot as it breaks down?

I'd probably opt for the Rattler. I like the cover a bunch and it should read the friction more smoothly. Wood lanes can be very quirky so predictable pearl covers do well for me.

I guess it depends on how you like to play conditions like that.
I tend to use my Rattler more when I can chase the oil line inside, because it tends to be smoother from front to back for me. In contrast, the Smash Zone (and now the Python) is more lateral at the break, and thus is better for me when I have to go more left-to-right and hook around the down-lane push.
