Post by: BAPS_Eric on September 06, 2005, 10:04:55 AM: One day I was talking to our Brunswick rep and suggested wrapping the Inferno core with the PK18 cover and he said they could call it the "Danger Inferno", but maybe the new zone will actually be the "Danger Zone" re-released with the Inferno Core. I think that ball would carry everything off the deck and out the building.

It was an idea for a ball line, the blanket name would be the VIRTUE line, and the sub-name would be that of the separate virtues. Similar to how the BVP is setup, BVP on one side, name of ball on the other.

their are 2 neww balls coming out before christmas, and see-ing that everybody likes nick they are using him to get the word out. to build up excitement about these two balls. smart of brunswick, i even bet nick knows the name of both or at least one name. his job is to let us squirm, thinking about it. i know i'm close on this! so you guys insits its something zone why cant it be zone something like zone classic. dont doubt there are 2 balls coming out. nick holds they keys to everything we want to know about them.

I suggested a solid N'Control cover, like off the Command Zone Arc with the current zone weightblock. That with some polish on it would be a beautiful thing, cleaner through the fronts than a Time Zone but reading the mids juuuuust right. Here's to hoping.

As for the new ball it would seem logical that if the inferno came out with the low rg sym and the pearl activator, and the classic came out with the lo rg asym and the activator that the same should hold true for the absolute and the next zone. The next zone should have the actiivator plus and the asym core.

I understand that all cores and covers do not match up properly as was shown when the smokin was released with an elevated rg, but the activator + was proven to match up with a low rg judging by the success of the AI.

All I ment to say was that, as evidenced by the belief that the activator advance matches up better to a higher rg core, activator advance may not be as effective on the low rg asym core of the classic or strike zone.

It was said in the description of the ball that many different core/activator advance combos were tried before settling on the more mid range rg core as opposed to the ultra low rg core of the AI, UI,and OI. It would make sense that if the cover were ever found on an asym that the rg may be elevated to better suit the cover. This being said I certainly do not want to assume that the advance does not match up with the ultra low rg. It may just be, as was said, matching a known cover to a core to produce a certain ball reaction.
