I have been away from the Brunswick line for a while and have recently begun evaluating some of their newer equipment. I would like anyone's recommendation on a ball that fills the need I have in my arsenal. The ball would need to be similar to the Ultra Zone with a little more pop on the backend. On a medium condition the hybrid cover on the UZ allowed me to play straight, but didn't skate in the oil as much as most pearls. I have about a 350 rev rate with somewhat of a high track. Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks

Wait until the 25th and take a good long look at the Evil Siege.
Mine is the closest thing to an Ultra Zone right now in terms of reaction.

That, or the Python seems to be similar also. The Evil is a little stronger.

what about a Rattler. Ive been looking in to one myself. Everything ive read and seen seems to be an easy to read ball and can work on many conditions.

My Arsenal:
Rogue Cell (coming soon)
Bounty(4.5 x 4.75 Fresh 1000 Abralon)
Twisted Fury(5 x 4 500 Abralon + Reacta Shine)
Blue Vibe(5 x 5 4000 Abralon + Reacta Shine)

I have been looking at the Rattler myself. I am a little concerned that it might be too much over/under. Any thoughts?
Thanks

The C-System 2.5 is also a good fit for medium conditions.

I have the Ultra Zone, Python, and Rattler which are all drilled pretty similar. In my experiences, the Ultra Zone has more backend movement than the Python. And, the Rattler is more angular when it reaches the dry boards. If you are looking for something close to the Ultra Zone, then I would go with the Python because of the stronger core than the Rattler. Both are really good bowling balls for the money. I would put a little stronger drilling in the Python from your Ultra Zone because of the symetrical core vs. the Asymetrical core. Another ball that might be as strong as the Ultra Zone would be a Wild Ride if you can still find one because of the Asymetrical core.

The Rattler is really a different look than the Ultra Zone. It will be over/under compared to what you like out of the Ultra. It is designed for more length and a quicker response off of the friction. Great ball, just not an Ultra replacement.

You may have to take the shine off the Wild Ride, I found it a little spotty in carry down..took it to 500/2k and it's my benchmark, first one out of the bag and usually the last one to go back in.

Thanks for all the input. I am going with a Wild Ride. Probably drill it pin down and I will adjust the surface as needed.
