Red Fuze and Fuze Eliminator Cover
« on: February 01, 2009, 03:18:39 AM »
Does anyone know what would be closest to box for both of these balls?

Also, I was wondering what coverstock prep. people are using on both of these?

The RRF had a compound finish, it was one of the last balls that came out before Brunswick started using their current High Gloss polish.  You could probably use Finesse-It or Rough Buff to get it pretty close to OOB.

The Eliminator had a cerium oxide Trizact finish.  I'm not sure what would be comparable to that nowadays.

what grit Abralon or wet sandpaper should the Red Fuze be prepped with prior to polish?

I have not used Trizact, I assume there is a grit associated with that as well. Assuming that is correct, what should the grit be on the Eliminator?

do the RRF @ 2000 abby with factory finish polish, or 3m finesse-it  if that doesn't read fast enough, back it off to 1000 abby with same polish.  I find that finesse it seems to let the ball read better than FF polish.

The eliminator should be left at 2000 abby, no polish.  Scuff it 3, 4 or 6 ways for closest to factory finish.
