Title: Red Zone
Post by: The Extremist on December 06, 2006, 02:14:46 AM
Well, it is like this... I have a new Red Zone OOB finish and can't get a new Strike Zone (ask my local proshop why). Now, if I get another RZ and wet sand it to 600-800 grit will I get a SZ? With this two RZs am I going to be able to cover a good ammount of conditions? If i go this way how should I drill the second RZ? First one is pin above bridge, MB right of thumb. I'm tweener, med speed-track. (Planning my next year's arsenal as Xmas coming and birthday in January).

Thank you in advance.

The Red Zone is a little stronger in the back than a SZ. I would recommend a pin under with the MB 2-3" to the right of your thumb (50 degree-ish) with the wet sand you mentioned.

The Strike Zone is still in the line...surprised your pro shop can't find one.  While I might get flamed for suggesting this, you might just want to pick one up online;  both bowling.com and bowlingball.com show the Strike as being in stock, and I'm sure many of the other online shops can get them as well.

Failing that...what Corey C said.
