Red Zone Drilling
« on: October 03, 2006, 09:07:51 AM »
Hello,
I recently got a Brunswick Red Zone Drilled up. When I told my friend how my ball driller decided to do it, he showed a bit of concern. It is drilled pin above ring finger, about an inch, with the CG (2-3" out) kicked to the right. He told me that he hasnt heard anything good about this drilling for a red zone. So I asked, has anyone has this kind of drilling, and has it been successful.

BTW, I am a Med. Speed, Low-mid rev. player with a Low Track.

My Vapor Zone has similar layout as your Red Zone.  It revs-up real nice & hits like a truck, my favorite go-to ball now. cheers.

I had a Strike Zone that was off about 2 inches off line, I knew that wasn't normal but I drilled it anyway.  My driller had to put a 1.25 inch hole in for leverage, about 4 inches deep!!  To this day I still don't know if it's a legal ball, he told me it could go eitherway depending on the scale.

How long will Brunswick warranty something like that (or do they warranty a drilled ball like that)?

The layout on my Red Zone is similar . . and it's the best ball I've ever owned, does absolutely everything right.  However, it may not be the best drilling for you, being that you have less revs and a low track.  Your positive axis point is probably quite a bit different from mine.
