Seen a total inferno in person.......
« on: December 12, 2006, 12:41:58 PM »
Well tonight I went to get in some practice, I walked in the pro shop and looked on the display wall. I saw a Total Inferno! Looks great IMO. Then I turned and looked at the shop owner and hes walking from the back with a Total Inferno cradled in his left arm. Says, I know your a Brunswick freak so I got a little gift for you! Then he says "This ball isnt yours right now, but it could be. Shoot 775+ thursday night with it and its yours!" I threw it for about 5 games tonight. Its not as strong as my scorchin but it definately fits between my Vapor Zone and scorchin. The shot was a broken down shot from the girls high school bowling team, a bit of carry down for sure. I was playing 30-10 with the ball, compared with the scorchin at 35-8, and vapor zone at 27-10. Shot the following with the total, 232, 210, 268, 225, 270.

Awesome ball,  I hope to get a great look thursday night with the total inferno, if not ill use something else that does. Another awesome ball from Brunswick, just hope I can make it mine this thursday.

Mine is a 2.6 TW 3" pin 15.75# ball, Pin over ring finger and CG 2" right from palm center. So far I LOVE the ball but will it be usuable thursday night on a fresh shot? Tonight was on a sloppy oil pattern. I shall see tomorrow night when I use it on a fresh pattern.

I've been informed (by my boss in the shop) that I need one of these.  I told him to set me up.  He says, "I don't drill your stuff!"  I said, "OK, lay one out for me, and I'll put holes in it."  Yes, he is much better at laying them out than I am.

I'll report back once I have tried it out.

Mike, good luck Thursday!

I got mine on the lane tonight.  About 3-5 boards stronger than my Vapor Zone, which is sanded to 600 abralon.  It is about a foot longer and stronger off the spot. If I send it in the oil and it hits the backend, look out very strong off the dry, its a little less stong through carry down than on a fresh shot, but its better than the vapor.   So far me LIKEY!

Tonight the shot wasnt there to use the Total Inferno, everything I used around 30-10 was hitting the pocket weak, I played 20-8 and still got weak hits so i played 15-5 with my 2nd Rampage. Total Inferno didnt like this line 1 bit! The shot at sunset is oiler then it has been in the past, Thursday nights have been historically drier for some odd reason. Ill give it a shot again tomorrow night.
