Brunswick Mastermind Genius Reaction Video
« on: February 11, 2014, 06:39:28 AM »
We threw the mastermind genius on our normal house shot, with great results. some people ask why we only include strikes in our videos, well its kinda hard not to, when Jason threw a 299 first game straight off the press with this ball.

the genius offers a stronger downlane reaction over the original mastermind, and we were able the get the genius out a few boards further and have it come ripping back.

Nice job, again, on the video.  I am loving the Genius!  It's a bit more user friendly on the house shots for me than the Mastermind, and carry has been phenomenal!

Nice video comparison. So, is the Genius proving to be a stronger cover than the Mastermind? It looks like it. Both balls have the same hook shape, but it looks like the Genius needs more room. I expected the Genius to be weaker.

Genius is definitely not weaker just a different shape.  The Mastermind is much smoother overall.  The genius allowed us to open the lane up much more.  Mastermind on fresh...then the genius.  I think the Genius will handle the longer patterns a bit better because of the down lane hook.  If you saw the clash show between Rash and Belmo, Sean was using a Genius on Belmos chosen pattern which was the Tournament of Champions pattern and he was throwing a Mastermind on the cheetah.  It blended the dry out very well.  Both balls did have the pin In the same spot too, over his middle finger.  Not sure on mb.  It really showed the versatility of these 2 great balls.

Definitely noticed that in the show. Knowing how strong the Mastermind is, I was surprised to see Rash using it on the 35 ft pattern. However, as I recall, Rash had a better look on the right than he did on the left with the Genius.

Thanks for the feedback. The Mastermind is a great ball on the fresh-smooth and strong, continuous roll. I can see how the Genius having more pop on the backend as you move in would work behind the Mastermind as they break down.
