Replacement for Vapor Zone
« on: December 14, 2011, 12:17:32 PM »
Hello all.

One of the bowlers on my Wednesday night team is looking to replace

his Vapor Zone. Would be interested to hear from everybody what current

Brunswick product reacts similar to the Vapor Zone, perhaps the Nexus Pearl?

Thanks for your input.

Massive Damage even though it's symmetrical is fairly close overall

Massive has a pretty similar motion, UltiMax would be good if you wanted a little more skid flip. Nexus Pearl is just a lot more coverstock strength, might be too flippy. The Vapor was very predictable and was a workhorse! No wonder he wants to find something similar!

2 other options, even though discontinued for some time, are Morich's Shock&Awe and the Awesome Flip. Both had Activator+ covers, with cores that had a stronger MB than the VZ. If I remember correctly there were also some overseas balls from Brunswick which would be VZs in disguise.

The Massive Damage has the same cover and will be pretty close, in my opinion. Go for it!
