This is funny to me...  There is nothing really new from Radical if you really think about it...

“kinda off topic but that jagged edge hybrid looks like a hyper cell skid”
“And the Radical squatch solid looks like a storm super soniq”

Forgive me for the rant…   LOL.  :D  There comes a time where one must say “Enough Is Enough!”  LMAO!   8)

Let me start by saying that right now, I usually buy Storm, Roto Grip, and Radical bowling balls.  However, if a ball from any company really appeals to me, I will purchase it.  Regardless of who made the ball.  That includes most all of the major ball companies including Brunswick or EBI, and their sister ball companies.

HOWEVER, in my mind, Radical Bowling is starting to become the “Copy Cat” company in many bowler’s eyes.  WHY?...   :D

Simply because those guys at Radical have become the least imaginative company in terms of innovative ideas and balls out of all the companies around.  They appear to be copying every popular thing that Storm and Roto Grip does even down to the exact same colors of their “new” bowling balls.

Now, most of us “DO NOT” buy based on colors alone.  However, if a ball has a good color combination and it hooks, it’s a "win" for those who wish to purchase the new balls.  RADICAL used to be the company that was sort of innovative to me.  They used to be the company that was not trying to do what all the other companies were doing in terms of looks or reaction in their balls.  They made stuff that hooked on the back end – Period.

Now that they have been fully “assimilated” by BIG B, originality and innovation is out the door.  LOL.   :D   Now, if a pink, red, or whatever popular ball sells from another company really well, you can be sure that the innovative boys over at Radical will put an existing core in a similar ball to make some money.  Wow, that’s RADICAL.  LOL.   :o

Case in point…
The Conspiracy Hybrid looks like the STORM PHYSIX, which is also a hybrid, by the way.  The Squatch Solid looks like the STORM SUPER SONiQ.  The Zing Solid looks just like the ROTO GRIP HALO.  And the core is nothing new.  Wow, that’s Radical!  OMG!  I’m LMAO!

What’s next from Radical?  Will there be a Zing Pearl?  Will it look like the Storm Astro Physix or the IQ Emerald?...  Or will they make a new ball called the Wee! Pearl?

WEE are just like all the others….  We are not Radical at all.  Let the hater’s HATE!

LMAO!

I'll disagree here on a couple of points. Shelf appeal is a factor for selling bowling balls so you're going to run into similar colors being used by different companies. Also from what I understand, companies test with multiple colors before deciding. I'd like to think color is based on performance to desired specs #1 and shelf appeal is #2.

I don't think Phil or anyone at Radical/Brunswick care that they look similar. To me, the colors are similar but they still look different. Storm/Roto seem to trend on the darker side of the color scale while Big B seems to be brighter for the most part.

Everything just posted on the approved list. A lot of releases coming.

Hero
Jagged Edge Solid
Jagged Edge Hybrid
Melee Jab SE
Vapor Zone Solid

DV8 Poison Pearl
Night Prowler
Instigator

Radical Squatch Solid
Zing!

Hero seems close to the Prowler
Im more in the market for a pearl so theres a lot of solids here. I think Im still inbetween going with the Prowler or the Conspiracy Pearl for my next ball.

I was hoping there would be a Dynamicore low hooking ball for dry lanes for my other house (Think BTU pearl with dynamicore). Gotta keep using my Twist for ONE game until it hooks too much, then switch to the BTU pearl game 2 no questions asked...  thats how bad it is there!

Least imaginative?  Outside of similar colors how are they coping anything?  No manufacturer has come out with any new ground breaking technology or anything else of relevance in bowling for close to decades plural. That includes storm/roto/global/amf.   Colors and names are all anyone has to sell people these days and most,  especially staffers are too dumb to realize it.

Ha, ha, ha! This is pretty good and very astute on both accounts! I TOO HAD STARTED TO NOTICE the similarities in color choices of a lot of new Radical balls!

Now, I'm NOT going to say this is unimaginative! I'm going to say....this is DAMN SMART MARKETING!!

Why not use similar colors?? A lot of bowlers male and female choose balls based on the colors they see! Storm dominates the market, so why not put similar looking equipment out there?? And guess what......if it works well, then that's an added plus for the buyer!!!

Hey! I get it. We, the knowledgeable ones are into all the technology and numbers and stuff but some folks just want a pretty ball! It is what it is! It's STILL RADICAL!! LOL!
Some days you're the bug....some days you're the windshield...that's bowling!
