Rattler compared to Smash Zone?
« on: November 16, 2009, 05:46:21 AM »
Hey guys, I have a brand new Rattler just waiting to get drilled, but before I drill it, I need some help. Right now, all I really use is my two Smash Zones. One is drilled pin up at 5" from my PAP and the other is pin down at 5" from my PAP with a flare increasing hole. Both are right around their polished box surface. I love the way they work with eachother. When one doesn't work, the other will almost always work (if not, I have a Natural.. since Brunswick won't make a urethane quick enough... lol). Anyways, how can I drill my Rattler to compliment these Smash Zones? I don't care if it's stronger, weaker, or whatever. I bowl on many different conditions so i'm just looking for it to fit in my arsenal.

My stats are:
16-18mph speed
300-330 rev rate (approx.)

Thanks!

The cover on the Rattler reads a little earlier and somewhat more smoothly than the enmotion cover of the Smash.

You might try pin down and about 4" from PAP to see more contrast. Mine is drilled Rico and I love it that way. Good luck.
