Milder reative for light oil??

My local alley has one of these sitting on the shelves. I threw it one day just to see what would happen. On the dry it didn't do so good for me, it over-reacted going right through the head pin and leaving splits so I stopped throwing it. I haven't thrown it on anything above light oil so I can't tell you much besides my guess is it's good for medium oil.
