Power Groove Sanded
« on: September 27, 2005, 04:59:59 AM »
I just got my Power Groove Purple/Teal sanded, and was wondering what kind of drill would go best on it.  I currently have a PG Pearl thats drilled pin over bridge, cg stacked and I love the reaction I get from it.  Should I go with the same drill on this one, or try something new?

BC, yes the ball is still in box finish and I found that my pearl was covering a good 3-5 boards more, all of which was on the backend.  I'll need to use it more to give a definitive answer, but so far the sanded is much tamer than the pearl.

I recently had this ball redrilled, as I didn't like what I was getting out of this ball before.  When it was drilled pin over ring, the ball was very tame as it was not flaring at all.  I had it redrilled with the pin next to the ring finger, roughly 4" pin to PAP (new pic in profile).  This ball now still gets effortless length, with a very nice arc.  Before, the ball could only be used on bone dry because of the lack of flare, now I'm able to play inside with a little swing.  First full practice game after redrilling I shot 300, something says that I'm going to enjoy this ball as much as the PG Pearl I have.
