Twisted Fury Solid vs Total Inferno
« on: July 22, 2008, 02:12:07 AM »
I have a Total Inferno that I throw more than anything else in my bag. I have alot of honor scores with with this ball. I already have a NIB Ultra Zone, but the TFS has caught my eye. What I want to know is how in comparison are the TI and TFS? Is the TI stronger than the TFS or visa versa? I really like the reaction I get from my TI. So since I have the Ultra, should I just stay away from the TFS?

I'm curious about the TI vs the TFS as well.  Rather than start a new topic, I figured it would be more beneficial to bump this topic up.

Twisted Solid should be able to handle more oil than the Total. The Total Inferno is a pearlized ball and can get squirty on conditions with more oil. I think with the different cores, the Twisted is a little more angular off the spot than the TI, to me the TI seems more like a rolly ball(strong arc, no flip).

Overall, the Twisted Fury Solid should be a stronger ball, that is great on fresh shots with heavier mediums.

I assume going off the ball comp. chart offered by Brunswick that the UZ would be a little less angular more of an arc'ed shape while being able to handle similar oil volumes?

More midlane on the total inferno from the times I've seen it.  Rollier as said above.

Videoballreviews and brunswicks site are great sources for videos of the ball reactions.

My Total got me two 300s and an 800 series... I like the Twisted Solid much better. I brought the surface up to about 2000 for a more aggressive move later and the ball is great.

Out of the box the Twisted Solid will need lots of oil, so I believe that most bowlers will do as I have done with the surface. The Twisted Solid will be earlier than your Ultra Zone. They are very different.
