Classic Zone and Pin Color

I am sure that this questionb has been asked.. But what is the difference of the ball based on Pin Color.. RED... BLACK...?????

Black pin is original.  Red pin batches cured too hard, so they don't hook as much (good dry lane ball).  Violet ZC is the same as the original, also.

The black pin is actually a very dark green pin.

You can easily tell the difference between Zone Classic "models" by the color of the fill used for the ellipse engraved around the pin.

I had the red pin and I would consider a medium to
medium dry ball, but not a dry lane ball, because of
the core still being pretty strong. Still would be
goof for broken down house shots !
