A Little Help Identifying a Ball
« on: August 03, 2009, 05:18:35 AM »
I found this ball on the rack ages ago, and decided to give it a whirl.  I liked the reaction I got out of it so I put one of my old balls on the rack and decided to take this one home.  Almost two years later I still find myself throwing this ball whenever things dry out or get goofy.  The read and hit I get from this ball is like nothing I've ever thrown before.  Its on its second drill, and it wouldn't surprise me if it has over a thousand games on it... I've probably thrown 300-500 of them myself.  Its one of those balls I don't even have to worry about wiping off if I don't feel like it, it gives me the same read time after time after time.  What ball is it?

I've done some research, and asked a few questions here and there, and the closest thing I can come up with is a Sapphire Zone Pearl.  I feel as if its the only ball it could POSSIBLY be, but people tell me that its far too green to be a Sapphire Zone Pearl.

Either way, I'm dreading the day that this ball needs to be replaced, but I want to get a good idea of what is comparable to this, so when the time comes I won't be completely lost.  Maybe an Avalanche Pearl if I can still get my hands on one?

It looks like a Saphire Zone Pearl to me. I don't remember what cover that had on it. But this should be relatively close to the new Avalanche Pearl.

The Sapphire Zone Pearl has a PK17 cover if I'm not mistaken.

I have an Avalanche Pearl that I rarely used...it's been sitting on the rack for several months now.  Send me a PM if you're interested.  I'm sure we can work something out.

That may be right, but of  your looking to replace I would go with the Avalanche Pearl. Will be really close.
