« on: September 27, 2008, 01:31:22 AM »
Well this is the problem i have a twisted fury and a blue vibe the vibe is drilled 5 1/2 from pap above and between fingers and fury is 4 3/4 from pap below the ring but both get down the lane but when they make the turn they roll up to about the 6 pin or a swisher pocket shot cant get a solid pocket. i have a lot of end over end roll and thats playing up like 7 and it still wont come up i know put more side rotation on it but i cant do that maybe equipment not drilled right for me?

i could just be the line your trying to play. i have my twisted fury drilled the same way and i go up 5 a lot but sometimes may need to go up 10 or 13. just depends what the lanes give you. either way you usually adjust to the reaction your getting. try if you like that outside shot and its not coming up, try aiming it straighter to the pocket. maybe stand 5 and throw over 7 or 8. may help a bit.

M.B. might be in the wrong spot.I had a T.F. with pin down and M.B. about 75* and it layed off on the backend.I think with the vibe you can add some more side rotation but with the asymetric core of the twisted that becomes less forgiveing and you lose the reason for useing an asymetric core ball IMO.
I like asymetric equipment because I have a very consistant release and I can choose how the ball will react down lane with drillings and covers.they are not as forgiving on release changes as symetric cores in general.some more, some less, depending on the strength of the core and layout.

If it's truly rolling out then that is caused by the ball hitting friction too early. Not an uncommon problem for someone who tracks high.

Try adding some polish if you want to play outside. That's the least expensive option and usually will help. Adding polish will "delay" the friction point and usually give you a little more angle coming into the pocket (as long as the backends are clean).
