Activator Coverstock
« on: March 13, 2005, 05:50:57 PM »
I've owned 4 Activator coverstock Brunswick balls... I've noticed that I've never liked any of them first time I threw them. They seemed to get smoother the more I threw them. have any of you experienced this with your Activator balls? After several games, those balls became the best thing ive ever thrown. Its amazing. I hated my Zone Classic at first, now U cant get it out of my hands. I got a blank Absolute Im real excited to drill.

Absolutely agree about Activator on all 3 I've had so far. It's the strangest thing. Right now, my newest one, the Absolute, is weak, but I've only put 6 games on it. I took it to Nationals, where it was unimpressive, but started to show signs of life during my last practice. Yesterday, the Absolute looked a bit better. I'm sure it's just a matter of time

i've got 4 balls with the activator reactive coverstock and they all seemed fine right out of the box( or if the coverstock was tweaked ). brunswick really scored great with this new coverstock and i hope there is more to follow.

I'm basicly a storm guy but I picked up an intense and drilled it 5 by 5 and absolutly loved this ball from the get go.I shot a 778 right out of the box and won a good deal of money with this ball but as time and games grew on this ball it now feels like I'm bowling in thick heavy mud.when new my intense gave me great length and a strong controlled back end and now she's just burnin up and carry went to crap.the ball only has 30 something games on it and I clean it every time and I also polished it up once on a spinner.
The harder I try the harder they fall

I only have one ball with Activator -- an original inferno.  When it was brand new, this ball made the sharpest left turn of any ball I own. Now that it has a few games on it, it's a much tamer, easier to control arc.
