I haven't tried the new Rough Buff rubbing compound yet. Is there anyone here who has? And how?

I would not recomend it either I heard that it can ruin your ball for some players styles.

What???  How can you say this about a product that has not even been released?  You heard this from whom?  Rough Buff isn't even available yet!

Do you mean the Factory Finish Polish?  That's not a "cleaner".  It's used to restore a ball that comes with a high gloss finish back to it's out of the box finish.  Don't see how this can mess up someone's style?

Spare,

You don't have to apologize for the post.  I'm just trying to make sure info is clear.  There are directions on the bottle for using the polishes.  If all you do is apply the polish to your Inferno without first taking it to 400grit, then it wouldn't surprise me if it went straighter, because in a sense you are adding more polish on top of other polish(already on the ball).  Make sense?  I would imagine a similar thing if you just applied Rough Buff to your Blazing without first taking it down with sandpaper or scotchbright.  The polishes can be used to adjust your balls reaction.  Take a look at the back of the bottle.

Hope this helps.

rough buff ruining a ball ? do you think brunswick would make, use, and sell a product that would ruin one of their own bowling balls ? basically, rough buff is a rubbing and finishing compound----brunswick has been using this for years to polish bowling balls at the factory.
