Ok, never really was a Brunswick fan but maybe you guys can change me. I'm considering buying an AI but was recently offered and OI for pretty cheap. The hardest hooking ball I currently have is my Columbia Wired, pearlized and just does not hook on much above a little bit heavier medium pattern. My friend had bought an OI when they first came out and when I compared them side by side the OI was very similar as far as overall hook as my Wired. its just that my Wired was more angular. Now with all that aside, the real question, If I were to take an NIB OI and hit it with the ruff buff polish would it essentially be the same ball (or close to) as the AI? I know that the AI has the Activator+ coverstock and the OI only has the regular Activator, but is there really that much of a difference? And the numbers as far as RG and Diff are exactly the same. So what do you think? Could I turn an OI into an AI? Thanks.
