Bought the wife a OI
« on: November 30, 2004, 11:16:37 PM »
I picked up a PBA pro-am inferno for the wife.  She is a med-rev, med-speed player with a med track.

Her current line-up is:

Vicious Particle(yellow/green)--stacked up, pin slightly above ring, 1000 grit wetsand, 1/2 pitched weight hole on PAP for continuation on the backend
Vicious Attack--pin next to middle finger, cg in palm, LMB kicked real close to the val

I bought the Inferno b/c she never really got lined up with the Smash/r she had.  It was almost always over/under, dull or shiny.  She had an old DZ, that was drilled 4 x 4.  She liked it in later games.

I think a 4 x 2 drilling for the Inferno would be a good choice.  What do you guys think??  BTW, she throws 14lbs.

That is a lot of extra midlane on a ball that is already a lot of midlane.
Due to coverstock being able to hook more in oil than pure reactive.

Most of the Infernos that I have seen that have worked have had less kick out of the cg than traditional reactives.

Many have been label leverage.  If it were me I would not kick out cg more than a 4 X 4.

MY Inferno is drilled 4 1/2 by 3 1/2.  Maybe I will change it from 4 x 2 to 4 x 3.  What do you think of that??

Thanks, I picked the ball up today.  The driller put the pin above the ring with the cg kicked alittle.  I didn't lay it out, but I would guess something like 4 x 3, 4 x 3 1/2--very close to that.

She tossed two games with it.  It has more backend than the Vicious Particle, which I think was burning energy too early.  She made this statement in the car, "Man, it really comes back from outside".  That is what I was looking for.  I wanted something that would make an aggressive on the backend for her.

Thanks for the help Brunsrich,
Andrew

Chickenfoot....well heres the story.  First off, I HATE, I mean HATE rap music, just making sure that is on the record.  Anyway, I was watching something with the wife on TV one night.  This idiot(rapper) came on and they put his name across the bottom of the screen.  I guess he calls himself Sleepy Brown.  I thought it was so stupid, I then turned to my wife and said if I had a rapper name it would be Chickenfoot.  Then I put my index, middle and ring finger flat on the table and my thumb flat on the table as well.  That is my symbol....its stupid I know, but i was making fun of rap music...
