Last night Im getting ready for leauge and when I went to put my Vapor Zone on the rack I saw a Scorchin Inferno!! I pick it up and look at it, pin 1"> and 2"^ with the CG in the center of the grip. So warm ups start and im waiting for the person to pick up this ball and throw it. She pick up the ball and gets setup. Now this kinda made me a little mad and not quite sure why someone like this would spend the money for a high performance ball TO THROW IT BACKUP STYLE!!!!!!! I mean high revs backup ball too. 100-125 rpms. I just wanted to pick up the ball stuff it in my bag and walk out! Normally I dont critize anyones style but when they spend $200+ for a ball THEN throw it backup ball?? I was very dissapointed in the person that drilled it up for her. I have a team mate getting the Scorcin Inferno toight. She at least dont have a backup ball but very little revs as well, right now it seems to me the scorcin inferno is gonna be a CHICK ball in my area as thats all ive seen own it. Just irritated me last night to see that with the lady.

Mike, a backup ball is nothing more than a reverse hook. Look at it this way, you have a right hander breaking down a left handers line and NOT YOURS. LOL.

one time a customer pick up a house ball and come in the shop and ask me to drill up the Zone Classic exactly the same spec as the house ball. Tried to explain to him that he can just get a plastic and will do the same, but he insist, LOL, all I can say is he got the money and is a customer. They can spend the money anyway they want, we provide the service and somehow we cannot just take care of the better bowler, casual bowler equally important. Also, backup is just another way to bowl, nothing wrong at all, we saw 2 handed and no thumb on TV too. Robert Smith bowl backup to help him win the tournament in Japan.
Hope this can comfort you a little. Bowling should be funful.

I Know right! Retail on the Scorchin Inferno is $239.
It just irritated me, i can careless what she spends her money on. I know top notch bowlers bowl no thumb, interesting 2 handed, and back up to be successful.
