Wondering if anyone can make a good comparison between these two balls. Is one significantly different to the other in terms of reaction or is there a lot of overlap?

I haven't thrown the Scorchin' for a few years, but my first impression is that the Diamondback at factory finish will be a little stronger. I polished my Diamondback and it is a beast. Lots of hook for me anyway... Anyone else?

SI in oob is 800 grit Activator max cover. For me, it's WAY stronger than the DB which is Activator solid at 2000 grit. The DB is, for all intent and purposes, is a UI..

I forgot that the Scorchin' came at 800, since mine was adjusted immediately. I guess it depends on how much friction you see. If there is plenty then the Diamondback is impressive (especially polished), but on more volume the Scorchin' may be better. What works for one guy, may or may not, work for the other guy who has different speed, revs, etc.

Thanks for the input, I will get them set up as a bit of a combo. I have a scorchin that I didn't really use due to slower ball speed but have managed to increase it now and managed to get a cheap DB. Will try them both at factory finish first with aim of the scorchin being for the slightly heavier stuff then adjust from there. I guess they would even compliment if the DB was polished and the scorchin was at 2000 or 4000.

I've thrown both and feel the Diamondback is more versatile than the Scorchin'. the layout on both of these balls was similar and I found the Scorchin' to be less forgiving than the DB. I had some decent scores with it but, it was never all that consistent and I relegated it to a niche ball in my arsenal.
