Scorching Inferno -- Pics & Data
« on: December 21, 2005, 11:01:26 PM »
Hi,

SPOBAG, Germany's distributor for Brunswick's stuff, is early again.
Interesting: it is pure solid reactive, a kind of UI update. No particle, more midlane and backend than UI, higher RG but lower RG diff.
SPOBAG claims it is best suited for heavy oil and carrydown situations (only German description online).

You can check out http://www.spobag.de/ and click the ad, or...

With all the particle stuff on other manufacturers high performance balls which use Brunswick coverstocks (Enriched Uranium, Seek & destroy) I wonder if there will be another Inferno with particle? Yet, a new sold reactive Inferno was over due.

I guess I can break my streak of not buying balls for about a few weeks.  Any info on when it'll come out?

Very much appreciated!!!

Its hard to play with an inferno and not get burned. Last time I threw my inferno, the opposing bowler definitely got burned.

After reading the translation...

Well damn, that's depressing.  I was hoping this is a good heavy oil ball but if it's only useful for railroads, then screw that.  And I had no idea that activator line of covers were really scarves that have a cheek-end reaction.  Interesting.  And I think the translation thing went Yoda style with this sentence..."Use this ball just then if with strong carry down to calculate is."

Gotta love free translation programs.

You know those Storm balls have alot of Cheek-end movement tho! LMAO

In addition the hook characteristics in the avoided-lane and in the cheek-end area are reinforced, what is advantageous straight in railroads with much oil.

^^ my favorite part.

I think it will be overall stronger than the SZ, but more arcy. With the asymmetrical core, the SI should be drillable for more backend pop, but from the specs the SCI looks overall stronger with the higher RG saving more energy for the back end?

When you take a look at the comparison chart, the SZ is rated R14 in box condition. I suppose that the SCI will be fitting in the S11 area, to keep it in overall performance "above" the SZ. And that's just with box finish, 600 grit sanded.

The Scorchin' inferno is upgrade of the popular Ultimate an inferno ™. The combination of the 2-colored, matt, reactive bowl is one of the most successful ones of the market. The Scorchin' inferno comes in these Combo and an upgrade version of the Activator ® bowl, called ActivatorMAX.

ActivatorMAX is the newest developing step of the Activator bowl technology. ActivatorMAX supports a clean reaction with the flow of the Heads, as well as it is already known with inferno balls. In addition, the hook qualities are strengthened in mid-lane and in baking breech what is advantageous just with roads with a lot of oil.

The ave rage-AG of the ActivatorMAX bowl lies a little higher than with the Ultimate inferno. The INFERNO SCORCHIN thereby also forgives a maximum in mistakes. Use this ball just when with strong carry down is to be calculated.

Activator – Clean reactions by the Heads, infers with good mid-lane increase and a strong baking reaction.
Activator ® Particle – more clutch in the oil. Gentler reaction on dry layers
Activator ® plus – perfect clutch with the length of highly polished balls.
Activator ® Advance – more length and more angular behavior.
ANEW - ActivatorMAX – increase in Grip in mid-lane and baking area. The highest Activator hook potential – ANEW
