Honestly, colors have become more important to consumers over the past couple of years in the high-end lines

Who cares about colours as long as the ball does it's what it's suppose to do...

Bigshow, the Sidewinder is that ball you speak of.

Lillen, you would think so, but we have learned differently in recent years.

^^^ I'll second that ^^^^

Sidewinder is better than the Ambush (hard to believe, huh?)

Every day at the shop I see a customer who is torn between a few balls that will work for him.  All other things being equal, EVERY time he'll choose the one that LOOKS good to him.

Hey chris-m don't punch yourself in the forehead when you release the ball then it will get through the midlane.

i dont know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but why is brunswick releasing another asymmetrical so soon? The Twisted is still popular wouldn't this new ball just take sales away from the twisted?

It is a different price point, as well as a great compliment to the Twisted. There are still lane conditions, longer and higher volume patterns, that the Twisted struggles. It will also be the last performance ball released before summer/Bowl Expo.

So, when you say different price point, is it going to be cheaper or more.

Some more official text:

http://www.123bowl.com/ball.asp?ballid=3400

Interesting that the high end/current coverstock trickles that fast into the lower product lines - it took so long for Activator to move "downwards", and just after 1 ball the new EnMotion coverstock spreads into other ball lines.

I also wonder where the UZ will fit in the overall assortment? Is it a BZ replacement? So soon?

BTW: still waiting for a low RG Activator pearl ball in the BVP line. With the Rampage fading out, maybe with the Rocket core...?

Is the Rg correct at 2.40?! That's more than .050 lower than the Total Inferno, which is one of the lowest currently on the market!

chris-m, as I'm sure you know, the Blast was a Hybrid of the original Activator coverstock in Pearl and Solid (Inferno & Ultimate).

Is anyone else getting the feeling that conspirator 300 has resurfaced again as chris-m? I think maybe that was his name?
