I was curious of a Sidewinder at 1000 or 2000 abralon could serve as a heavier oil ball? Mine is 4" pin to PAP, pin under. Just curious, I don't need to have it at that spot as I do have other balls. This is the particle version.

I've read that 2000 abralon is actually pretty close to OOB...

I did try mine around 1000 once on a pretty heavy oil shot and it worked well for me. Try it, and if it doesn't match up well with your particular condition you can always adjust it back.

I have one Rico'd. At 1000 it handles much more oil that you would think. At 4000 polished it handles more dry than you would think. Very surface friendly ball.

i have a RICO as well and it is probably my strongest ball. with a strong lay out i do believe this ball could handle heavier oil (I know from experience)

I have mine stacked with pin above bridge and I would never use mine with any high amount of oil. I don't know if the core is too weak but this ball never quite matches up for me. With surface it rolls up weak and with polish I cant get the same ball motion twice. Ideally its meant for wet-dry conditions and not short/long or light/heavy. My best result is 2000 wet

no, it would have to be at 500 Abralon w/ a strong drill and I think you would need about 400+ revs for it to work on heavy oil. As what was said, it is meant to blend out wet/dry conditions. I've seen many sidewinders work well at 2000 and 4000 Abralon on medium conditions where pearls are too skid/flip and solids were a little too strong
